I wish I had space for a watery landscape, a nice little stream with maybe a small waterfall. Would be heaven!

I have actually been thinking about a good water experiment all week.
Hang on to some plastic drink bottles (or other suitable size container) and half fill them with water. Gather half a dozen different substances (flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking soda, talcum powder). Put a tablespoon (or so) of each substance into a bottle, cap it, and agitate.

Observe what the different substances do (ie. thicken, dissolve, fizz)

I love that! We’ve been collecting bottles for another project, but we are so doing this first!

Right now….I’m watching the water from the sky fall on to the water in my pool 🙁

Have a great Thursday!

Definitely some rainy day science projects on this list!

My boy discovered the other day that things look bigger when you put them in water, so we’ve been playing with that a bit.

He’s also been adding things to water and discovering what happens to them – ie milk powder dissolves and makes milk, cereal goes very soggy… We might try a few more this week.
