This is something i have been meaning to do with the little ones but haven't got to. What we have done that was very interesting, is bought a cheeseburger from Maccas (and one from Hungry Jack's) and leave them sit out...they grow NO MOULD! It's all the preservatives that are in the bread...I heard about it from Sue Dengate who does the Failsafe Diet and she said she had one that was three years old and still showed no signs of age (except of course the bread goes really hard. What I want to do next is have ahome-made one next to a Maccas one so the kids can see the diffierence. btw none of us have eaten a burger from Maccas since we did that experiment.
