When my girls were much younger I used to freeze water in icecream containers and then put the big block of ice into their paddling pool for them to play with.

I’d also freeze bottles of water and wrap them in tea towels and put them in the girls cots at night to help keep them cool during really warm nights.

This year at Heidi’s 5th birthday party we had an ice treasure hunt, we froze toys in water and hide them in the garden. The children had to find the frozen treasures and then use a variety of tools to get the toys out. Took some experimenting to work out what toys could freeze without breaking. So much fun.

We use to make snow ice cream using the homemade ice cream mix at the store in the winter.

Happy TT and Happy First Day of Summer to you from me in chilly south Georgia, USA 🙂

Liked your ideas of fun things to do no matter what the season 🙂

The stained glass gingerbread cookies look like so much fun! I wish my cousins were closer to me (distance wise) so we could make them this year.
