This entry was good timing. My oldest and I were watching a little boy on a swing this morning. You could see how difficult it was getting the first swinging motion. He was pumping his upper and lower body back and forth and the swing was barely moving. Yet each swing moved him further than the previous one then eventually once he’d established momentum it started looking easy.

I just found your blog, and I love it! I have fond memories of swings; my first baby fell asleep the first time I put her in one!
