Brolga

Brolgas are Australian Cranes, they live in large groups and have a beautiful mating dance.  They are in many Dreaming stories, this is one from Arnhemland.

Beautiful photo! We used to watch them dancing on the farm in Central Queensland. Josephine the kangaroo dances like the brolgas in Jackie French’s Josephine Wants to Dance too!

Great Pic – did you go to Arnhemland?! We are lucky to have so much diversity in our wildlife 😀 Just wanted to let you know that I linked to you today. Thanks for your blog, I’ve only just recently come across it and I really appreciate your wisdom 😀

A beautiful photo, Deb. I love the way it is emerging from behind the tree, like we have just missed something 🙂
