Wow from such an interesting looking thing to such a beautiful bird. I must admit when I first saw the one picture on the web I had no clue what it was. Too much fun!

Fascinating. The little beak doesn’t seem to exist at first. They go through such dramatic changes after hatching. Thank you for sharing. We kept budgies but never had an egg hatch.
I have posted several sequence type posts following the opening of everlasting daisies. The most recent was posted Monday – you may enjoy it.

Was yesterday’s a budgie? It looked too big. Not that I’ve ever seen a naked budgie…

Wow! I had no idea that they develop at different rates. I’ve only ever had chooks, and we have cats, so budgies wouldn’t be very happy.

Yes that was a couple of weeks old, the head was about the size of a fingertip. It’s a bi hard to see scale in a cropped photo!

Wow! That first photo is quite surreal. And then to see what it becomes… So incredible!
Love that you’ve captured its growth over time. Fabulous! 🙂

I love that you’ve taken a sequence of photos showing their development. Gosh I loved keeping birds as a kid, now as the Mum I really don’t want more things to look after lol

Such an interesting thing to see the changes. I’ve done similar sequences with my girls but it’s quite different seeing changes like these.
