Wordless Wednesday – Puff Paint

by Deb on August 24, 2011

Puff Paintings
mixing

Equal parts self-raising flour and salt, colouring and enough water to make a paste.

wet paint

Apply, swirl, mix however you want. We used slightly heavier paper than normal.

cooked blobs

Microwave or cook. We used a cup of water in there for safety and did it in 10 -30 second bursts.

cooked rainbow

For lovely textures and lots of fun!

Such a clever idea! Wish I knew about this when the kids were pre-schoolers. (Who am I kidding? My kids used to be over the moon if I took the paints out full-stop, let alone making the paints and cooking the creations. Still…a good idea.)
