What amazing images! 🙂
I brought up the topic of the diamond planet at dinner last night, thinking I might sound clever, and it seems my husband had already seen it 🙁 Oh well, next time!
Love the name Tycho, they use it for a dog in the kids Planetarium presentation in Melbourne. We have a stuffed version on Miss 4’s bed, she loved the show that much.

The diamond planet has been everywhere, I think it’s irresistible. That’s why I tried to give a bit of an explanation of how it happened, to make my take a bit different.
Tycho Brahe was a great scientist, the last of the naked eye astronomers. Kepler was his assistant and worked out the laws of planetary motion using Tycho’s observations. There are lots of astronomical things named after him, including craters and stars as well as the supernova.
The colours are quite incredible. I love that you’re sharing this. I’m learning so much from your blog. (Science was never my strong point at school!) 🙂
