Not too environmentally friendly I know, but when we are in Darwin we get fish and chips at the wharf and feed the fish bread. For scale, those are whole slices of bread! These are bat fish, but we’ve also seen barra, dolphins and a heap of smaller fish I can’t identify. The kids adore it.

Awesome!!!
Wow, it’s great that you got such a wonderful photo – I’ve never been able to. The seagulls at the wharf are worth watching too. And maybe you should warn people to be careful of the edge if they come
Yes I love watching the birds as well. The edge is hard – we get one of the tables there and the girls aren’t allowed to leave their seats until they’re finished, then we have to hold them around the waist! Some people don’t, but I find it pretty scary.
Very interesting. An entire piece of bread?
That looks like a lot of fun. I have fond memories of feeding fish and seagulls from the pier as a child.
Janelle – the girls are too excited to slow down and tear the bread!
